Montana Morado Maize. This is purple-black, longer ear length corn that was created by plant breeder Dave Christensen of Montana. It is high in anti-oxidants that give the kernels their external color, the interior starch is white as with most corn. Montana Morado makes tasty purple-hued corn meal. This corn was grown on an organic farm from organic seed under mostly drought conditions in 2023. It was listed on the farmer’s organic crop manifest that was turned in for certification as “blue corn.” 2 ounces. $2.98/packet (sales tax included in price). New Nov. 2025 germination test: 94%.
