Wild Common Milkweed Seeds

Wild Common Milkweed. This is common native herbaceous plant found throughout much of the temperate eastern two/thirds of North America. It is a useful plant for pollinators and is well known for being preferred by Monarch Butterflies. I did not grow these seeds but gathered them from wild plants found in my “wild garden” that’s located on an organic farm. I can’t call these “organic” because they are not on the farmer’s crop manifest that was turned in for certification but I can call them “chemically free.” The bags contain both loose seeds and “floaters” that will spread on a breeze. Releasing floaters in the area you wish to grow some milkweed may be a fun event to do with smaller children or grandchildren!
